CUFA is Cambridge University’s largest filmmaking society. Run by a committee of students, we provide equipment rental, workshops, advice and events to make filmmaking in Cambridge more accessible to anyone wanting to give it a go. Equipment is free to rent for all members and we can always show you the ropes if needed! Our workshops cover the basics and more, run by current students and recent graduates with experience of making film in Cambridge. We also run shorter structured projects through the year, so keep your eyes peeled for more info if you’re looking for a fresh challenge! For even more inspiration, each term CUFA runs an exciting schedule of speakers. Recently, these have included Chair of BAFTA Dame Pippa Harris, renowned editor Mdhamiri á Nkemi, and two-time Palme d’Or winner Ken Loach.
